CHECK US OUT!

🤩🤩🤩Ben, hit the diamonds with a great attitude and stepped up to the role with authority. He is a 14-year-old Walnut Grove Secondary School student, and began his umping career in 2022, taking the Level 1 exam and both Level 1 and Level 2 practical sessions. In discussing why he decided to pursue the umpire role with NLDS, he said “I’ve always seen the umps while I played baseball, and it looked like fun.” Ben added that he has friends who are umpires and they encouraged him to start officiating on the diamond.Ben most enjoys “when I make a call that everyone likes, and they are really happy and the players are happy.”He adds that he’s enjoyed the camaraderie he’s found in the umpire roster and “getting to know my fellow umpires, my peers. I’ve met a lot of really nice umpires out there.”Special thanks to Vancouver Canadians for hooking up tickets to a game!North Langley Trappers Baseball ... See MoreSee Less

And that’s a wrap on our 9U Will Smith Memorial Tournament for 2022. The idea of doing a 16 team tournament in a day and a half seems unthinkable, but it happened. The weather was against us from the beginning but it didn’t stop us. All 16 teams played hard and in the end the White Rock Phillies took home the title of champions. Thank you to all the teams that came out to play and were flexible with all the adjustments in order to make things work. This tournament had so many bumps and twists along the way, and to top it off the lights went off on the field just has the metals were being handed out. These kids played their hearts out. They were muddy and tired but they never gave up.A huge thanks to the umpires who were amazing. You guys were flexible and so willing to help and make this condensed tournament possible.Lastly, to all the volunteers that showed up, Will’s Family and the executive members who made this possible. You guys went above and beyond and truly showed the spirit of “For the love of the game”.⚾️ ... See MoreSee Less
